Today, The Meeker Vineyard is known as a family-owned winery that creates delicious red, white, and dessert wines. However, The Meeker Vineyard has a rich history that began back in 1977.  1977 was the year that Charles and Molly Meeker bought their first vineyard. It was not until 1984 that The Meeker Vineyard was established, with Charlie as the winemaker. The winery instantly saw success. The winery’s first red wine release was an instant success, winning eight wine competition medals and becoming the third most awarded Zin in the country that year. After that, the popularity of Meeker Wine grew. In the early 1990s, Sonoma rapidly began to become a prime target for wine-tasting tourists. To accommodate their growing success and to invite more people into their tasting room, the Meeker family bought a new property in Dry Creek Valley that would become the new home of Meeker Wine.
